Every Writer Needs Their People
Writing is kind of weird.
We spend hours making up stories, talking to imaginary people, researching things that would probably get us on a watch list, and wondering if what we wrote is complete garbage. Sound familiar?
The truth is, every writer goes through it.
That’s why I created PenCrafters.
This isn’t your typical writing class. It’s eight weeks of learning, talking shop, asking questions, getting unstuck, and hanging out with people who understand why you’ve been thinking about Chapter 12 while standing in line at the grocery store.
We’ll cover the craft of writing, the publishing world, and everything in between. I’ll be teaching alongside an incredible group of authors and publishing professionals, including Stephen Zimmer, Leah Pugh, Ritu Anand, Tony Acree, Erv Klein, Dan Klefstad, and Mick Williams. Each instructor brings a different perspective and a lifetime of experience to share.
Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been writing for years, there’s always something new to learn. Honestly, sometimes the biggest thing we gain isn’t another writing tip. It’s realizing we’re not doing this alone.
My hope is that PenCrafters becomes more than a class. I want it to become a community where writers encourage one another, celebrate the wins, work through the frustrations, and leave each week excited to get back to the page.
PenCrafters kicks off this September, and I can’t wait to get started.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to write your story, this is it.
