Indie Author of the Week!

Amy McCorkle

Amy McCorkle was born and raised in Louisville, KY. She has lived in New Mexico and Texas, but currently lives in Shepherdsville, Kentucky.

She is not only an award-winning blogger but also a successful author in the sci-fi erotic romance genre, with the novel No Ordinary Love and the upcoming release of the dark romantic suspense tale Another Way to Die. She has also been contracted for GLADIATOR, a Mad Max meets Gladiator series set to be a trilogy. She has placed second in the 2011 Predators & Editors Readers’ Choice Poll for Best Short Romance Story. She was also a semi-finalist with Another Way to Die in the 2012 Moondance International Film Festival.

Her work is influenced by her childhood heroes, pop culture, music, cinema, and the writers who continue to inspire her to read every day.

Lynn Slaughter is addicted to the arts, chocolate, and her husband’s cooking. After a long career as a professional dancer and dance educator, she returned to school to earn her MFA in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University. Her novels have received numerous accolades, including a Moonbeam Silver Medal, an Agatha nomination, Silver Falchion Award, Imadjinn Award, and a finalist nomination for CIBA’s Dante Rossetti Award in young adult fiction. Midwest Book Review called her work, Missing Mom, a “remarkable book” that “invites readers to immerse themselves in a narrative that beautifully captures the essence of struggle and triumph.” Meantime, Lynn is excited to have recently released her debut middle grade novel, an identity-swapping fantasy, The Big Switch: Varney and Cedric.
