Lynn Tincher,
Creative Writing Coach
Lynn Tincher was born just outside of Louisville, Kentucky, in the charming city of La Grange. One of her fondest childhood memories is of her English teacher reading a short story she wrote to the students of Oldham County High School. This moment sparked her enduring love for writing. She pursued Theater Arts at Eastern Kentucky University with aspirations of becoming a Drama/English teacher. Although Lynn had several articles published in local magazines and online, the dream of writing a novel always lingered.
Inspired by authors like Nora Roberts, J.K. Rowling, and Greg Isles, Lynn penned Afterthoughts, the first book in the Mind Bending Series. This fictional psychological crime series follows the life of Paige Aldridge, a young Louisville Police detective. Afterthoughts was picked up by Blackwyrm Fiction for publication in 2008, and its release earned Lynn a feature in Leo Weekly. Since then, she has published Left in the Dark, Buried Deep, Where There is Light, and the upcoming fifth book, Junna.
In 2013, Lynn’s work caught the attention of Kilted Pictures and Dancing Forward Productions in Los Angeles, who optioned Afterthoughts for movie production. The film is currently in pre-production, with plans to shoot in Louisville, Kentucky. As an Executive Producer, Lynn is dedicated to utilizing local talent and bringing the movie’s production to her hometown.

In 2022, Lynn became the Associate Publisher of Stardust Romance, an imprint of Hydra Publications. She is excited about the opportunity to grow this line of books for Hydra.
Lynn is actively involved in various organizations, including Louisville Women in Business for Good, the Louisville Chapter of the National Association of Professional Women, Greater Louisville Inc., the Louisville Film Society, and the American Heart Association. She was also a Champion Member of the Oldham County Chamber of Commerce. Her work has been featured in Today’s Woman, the Louisville Courier-Journal, Leo Weekly, Wave 3 Listens, The RoundAbout, and the Oldham Era.

In addition to her writing career, Lynn is a creative writing coach and the founder of the PenCrafter’s Writing Mentorship Program, where she helps aspiring writers develop their skills and achieve their writing goals.
