Our Next Chapter

I can hardly believe it myself. After only a year in our Shepherdsville location, we are moving! From the Ground Up Books has already outgrown its space. Thanks to your incredible support, we have been given an opportunity that we simply could not pass up. A new location right in the heart of downtown Shepherdsville.

Starting early next year, you will find us at 340 Buckman Street, in the historic Old Bullitt County Bank Building. The building is more than 100 years old and offers more than twice the space we currently have. It even comes with stories of being haunted, which feels perfectly fitting for a bookstore that has always embraced the mysterious and the magical.

This move is not just about more shelves, though there will be plenty of those. It is about joining the revitalization of Main Street and planting our roots in the middle of it all. We will be right across from the new coffee house and Salt River Brewing, making Buckman Street a destination for gathering, sipping, reading, and exploring.

Until the move, we will continue to welcome you at our current location, so please keep visiting, shopping, and showing love to your local bookstore family. Every purchase and kind word has made this growth possible, and we are so grateful.

We will be sharing updates, sneak peeks, and maybe even a ghost story or two as we get the new space ready. Stay tuned because the next chapter of From the Ground Up Books is going to be unforgettable.

Thank you for believing in us and for making this community a place where books and bookstores thrive.

—Lynn
