October 11, @ our Shepherdsville location from Noon till 4:00 PM, meet Pamela Turner, Queen of Coffee, Cats and Paranormal Suspense. If you spot someone in Louisville, Kentucky, fervently typing away with a cup of coffee never far from her side, chances are you’ve glimpsed Pamela Turner at work. An author who candidly admits to drinking too much coffee and yearning for the elusive perfect first draft, Pamela is making her mark in the world of paranormal suspense and urban fantasy. Originally from Wisconsin, Pamela made Louisville her home after college, and the city’s rich atmosphere soon became an integral part of her storytelling. Her novels often echo the city’s unique character, with neighborhoods like Old Louisville and the Highlands, and landmarks such as Eastern Cemetery and Central Park, serving as evocative backdrops for her supernatural tales. Pamela’s bibliography includes two gripping novels, Annihilating Angel and When Angels Threaten, along with two novellas: The Ripper’s Daughter and Rogue Vampire. Notably, Rogue Vampire launches her Louisville Paranormal Files series, promising readers more spine-tingling adventures set in familiar cityscapes. Pamela’s talent isn’t limited to prose—she is also an award-winning screenplay writer, further showcasing her storytelling versatility. Like many writers, Pamela’s career path is as colorful as her fiction. She has worn many hats, including security guard, freelance magazine writer, and substitute teacher. Her current role, aside from crafting supernatural fiction, is that of chief “cat herder” for her four rescue cats, who regularly remind her that her lap is very much a shared commodity. When Pamela isn’t writing, you might find her exploring hidden object games, immersing herself in anime and manga, wandering through cemeteries, or investigating abandoned buildings. She shares her home with her daughter and their feline family, creating a household that’s both lively and full of inspiration. With her vivid imagination, deep ties to Louisville, and a trove of stories yet to be told, Pamela Turner continues to enchant readers who crave the paranormal with a local twist. Keep an eye out for her next book—and perhaps, a fresh cup of coffee by her side. Sprouts Story Hour!
