His last story "The Rep" was published by Wyldblood Press in 2021 and his latest dark sci-fi novel, "The Zaphnurr Phase" was just released in July by Seventh Star Press. If he's not working his full-time job at UPS he's spending time with his lovely wife or writing, reading, running, or training for triathlons. Meet Stephen Zimmer at our Shepherdsville location during an Ink Happens Signing Event - April 4th, from noon until 4 PM. He will be introducing his newest two novels.


Stephen Zimmer is an award-winning author, editor, podcaster, and publisher based out of Lexington, Kentucky.  A writer in several genres of speculative fiction, Stephen currently has 33 books in print.  The editor-in-chief of Seventh Star Press, a small press with multiple imprints, Stephen founded and co-directs The Imaginarium Convention, a 12th year annual convention held in Louisville, Kentucky for writers and storytellers of all genres.

Stephen is also the co-host of the weekly Star Chamber Show live podcast, hosted on PodBean.

He is an active member of the Bluegrass Writers Coalition, the Kentucky State Poetry Society, and the Chicago Writers Association!

















Ink Happens Signing Event with Author Celeste Black - April 18th, from noon until 4 PM in LaGrange location


Celeste Black is a passionate storyteller and debut author of Egress, crafting emotionally charged narratives that linger long after the final page. By day, she inspires young minds as a 5th grade reading and writing teacher; by night, she builds immersive worlds layered with tension, heart, and resilience. Her work explores the strength found in vulnerability and the courage it takes to choose your own path. She is currently working on the next installment in the Egress series, continuing the journey her readers have come to love.

The Reading Room is a relaxed, come-as-you-are book club for people who love stories and good conversation. Your $10 monthly membership includes access to all Reading Room meetings, a drink at each gathering, and 10% off the selected book.


There’s no pressure to finish the book. Read all of it, part of it, or just come for the discussion. This is a welcoming space for readers who want connection, conversation, and a reason to slow down.


Books are selected in advance and available for perchance in-store. Come for the book. Stay for the conversation.
